Kandireega telugu Movie download

The Film
Kandireeg is a pucca mass masala movie based strangely on the medieval premise that females like only macho men who are good at bashing the baddies. It deals with the one-upmanship games between the hero and the villain punctuated by kidnaps and plenty of physical thrashing.

The Synopsis
Sreenu (Ram), son of Vishwanatham (Chandramohan), a high school drop out at Anakapalle, wants to marry his uncle’s (Dharmavarapu) daughter Bujji (Swathi). She rejects him stating that he doesn’t have college education. Ram, who is clever and streetsmart decides to go to Hyderabad for his degree. While travelling in the train, he bashes up a bunch of rowdies teasing college girls. At the college in Hyderabad, he meets Shruthi (Hansika Motwani) and falls in love. But, the city gangster Bhavani (Sonu Sood) is in love with Shruthi and he blackmails her to marry him. He beats anyone getting close to Shruthi. Meanwhile, henchmen of Warangal Rajanna (Jayaprakash Reddy), a dreaded chieftain, are looking for Sreenu in the city.

Sreenu rescues Shruthi from being kidnapped by the gang of Yadayya, a rival of Bhavani. He meets Bhavani and forces him to a challenge whereby, he will make Shruthi love him. When, Sreenu wins the heart of Shruthi and both of them decide to elope, she is kidnapped.

It is then revealed that Rajanna kidnapped Shruthi to get hold of Sreenu because Rajanna’s daughter Sandhya (Aksha) is in love with him. She was the girl who was saved by Sreenu on the train. She wants him as he is a macho. Sreenu lands at Rajanna’s place and finds himself in a fix. Then Bhavani too arrives at Rajanna’s place to take away Shruthi. A police intelligence officer (Raghubabu) brother-in-law of Rajanna comes to attend the wedding of Sreenu and Sandhya. Sreenu and Bhavani start their one-upmanship games to get Shruthi

The Performances
Ram , as usual, is energetic and sprightly in his role. He dances nicely and looks good in his fights. Hansika is glamorous and emotes well. Aksha regales with her Telangana dialogues and essays her role with conviction. Sonu Sood is the surprise package as his role of a villain has been widened and he performs with commensurate esae. Jayaprakash Reddy is a manifestation of a cruel chieftain and at the same time a doting father. Raghubabu is his usual self as a comic interlocutor. Chandramohan, Dharmavarapu, MS Narayana and Ajay are ok in their supporting characters.. All others fit their roles.

The Techniques

The film’s story follows the now familiar Tollywood casting of the hero as an educated, but clever, worldly-wise and macho man. The narration goes through a complex set of twists, turns and counter turns and keeps the flow with little bits of suspense. However, the plot is crowded with villains and more villains and their rivals who go on bashing each others gang with the hero having his share.

The dialogues are quite contemporary and have the hilarious punch where required. Director Santosh Sreenivas showed a firm grip on his screenplay. Music by Thaman is peppy but too loud. Cinematography enhances the narration flow.. The stunts have been orchestrated with an in-built energy. The audiography could have been better.
The Verdict
Kandireega, like the wasp it is abuzz and busy doing many things to find its goal. The story is based on a little farfetched premise and the narration is beset with too many contrived situations. The film is nothing to rave about, but it has the time-pass ingredients, though no repeat viewing values.
